"The Blogger Hall of Fame: Introducing Some of My Favorite Witty Writers"
While on vacation later this summer, I will introduce you to several persons for whom I have tremendous respect. We do not necessarily agree on all things, but they are talented writers and communicate with excellence. Postings will remain 3x weekly (Sun., Tues., and Thurs.), and feel free to comment on their writing as well. Give them feedback. Most of all, enjoy them...
As an avid lover of intramurals, I engaged in every possible competition at Purdue in the 80's. Team credits include slow pitch and fast pitch softball championships, in addition to the coveted basketball crown.
Individually, I could always seriously compete, but somehow, I would come upon that person for whom this was "their sport." Hence, I became the runner up queen (see Purdue Intramurals: table tennis, badminton -- even multitathlon).
Finally, in my senior year, I was crowned the raquetball champion! (Thankfully, the person I had lost to twice previously was a year older than I... finally graduating.)
My goal is to approach this blog much like intramurals: passionately and respectfully, sometimes a bit sarcastically -- but never forgeting that we play for the same school -- and thus, the same team.
Shooting straight from center field, let the games begin...
