About Me

As an avid lover of intramurals, I engaged in every possible competition at Purdue in the 80's. Team credits include slow pitch and fast pitch softball championships, in addition to the coveted basketball crown. Individually, I could always seriously compete, but somehow, I would come upon that person for whom this was "their sport." Hence, I became the runner up queen (see Purdue Intramurals: table tennis, badminton -- even multitathlon). Finally, in my senior year, I was crowned the raquetball champion! (Thankfully, the person I had lost to twice previously was a year older than I... finally graduating.) My goal is to approach this blog much like intramurals: passionately and respectfully, sometimes a bit sarcastically -- but never forgeting that we play for the same school -- and thus, the same team. Shooting straight from center field, let the games begin...
